John Nguyen, DDS, MD

Dr. Nguyen received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Dentistry. After graduating from dental school, he moved to New York City to attain his Doctor of Medicine degree from Weill Cornell Medicine. He then completed his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at New York-Presbyterian Hospital – Weill Cornell, the second oldest hospital in the United States.
During his training at New York Presbyterian – Weill Cornell, he also completed an internship in general surgery and served as the chief resident of oral and maxillofacial surgery. His primary areas of interest are dentoalveolar surgery, trauma, and the utilization of technology in surgery.
After completing training in New York, Dr. Nguyen decided to return to Southern California. In addition to practicing at Peninsula Oral Surgery, he is also on the medical staff of Torrance Memorial Medical Center. He is excited for the opportunity to utilize his expertise to serve the South Bay community.
