John Nguyen DDS, MD
Dr. John Nguyen is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon who brings a unique perspective to his practice—one rooted in hard work, integrity, and personalized care. As a first-generation college graduate and son of Vietnamese immigrants, Dr. Nguyen was raised on the values of doing right by others, delivering quality work, and never cutting corners. These cornerstones guide his philosophy to patient care.
Dr. Nguyen completed his undergraduate studies at UC Berkeley before earning his dental degree from UCLA. He then went on to receive his medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College, one of the nation’s most prestigious institutions. Today, he is both a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
With a special focus on dental implants, bone augmentation, and complex jaw procedures, Dr. Nguyen takes pride in creating customized treatment plans for each patient, taking into account their unique goals, oral health circumstances, and financial considerations. He’s a firm believer that a solution isn’t truly effective unless it fits the patient—not the other way around. His goal is to help patients understand their treatment path clearly and feel confident every step of the way.

Board-Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon
Thomas T. Omoto, DMD
Dr. Omoto brings decades of experience and leadership in oral and maxillofacial surgery. After earning his undergraduate degree at UC Berkeley and his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from Tufts University, he completed advanced training at UCSF and a surgical residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. He went on to become board-certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1990 and has been in private practice since 1988, serving patients across the South Bay.
In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Omoto has spent much of his career training and mentoring future surgeons. As Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Director of Resident Training at Harbor-UCLA, as well as a long-standing UCLA faculty member, he has taught and inspired hundreds of oral surgeons and dental students.
Respected for his sharp mind and thoughtful approach, Dr. Omoto is widely regarded as a true mentor. Dr. Nguyen even describes him as 'the Yoda to my Skywalker, or the Michael Jordan to my Kobe.' (Yes, he’s really that good!).
Outside of surgery, Dr. Omoto is a loyal Bay Area sports fan. Whether it’s the Giants, 49ers, or Warriors, he rarely misses a game and can talk sports for hours.
