Extractions

You may need a tooth extraction of any number of reasons. Some teeth are extracted because they are severely decayed. Others may have advanced periodontal disease or have broken in a way that cannot be repaired. Teeth may need removal because they are poorly positioned in the mouth (such as impacted teeth) or in preparation for orthodontic treatment.

The Extraction Process

A dental extraction can often be done under either local anesthesia or intravenous anesthesia. The appropriate anesthetic choice will depend on condition of your health, the difficulty of the extraction and your personal needs.

Dr. Omoto will discuss you options and make recommendations.
